Instructions for use:

Take 5-20 drops per day. Take in water, juice, or under the tongue. Not for use in children. Increase dose as tolerated. Take 10 drops daily for headache prevention.

If you do not care for the alcohol or if you cannot/should not consume alcohol, place the dose in a cup and add a little boiling water. Let it cool down and then drink.

Known or reported benefits

  • Feverfew:

    • Oral uses: Fever, headache, migraine prevention (US Headache Consortium 2000 guidelines list it as a 2nd line prevention), menstrual irregularities.  It may help with inflammatory conditions like arthritis. May help with the common cold.

    • Topical uses: toothaches, antiseptic and insecticide.

Precautions or Contraindications

  • Avoid in pregnancy and lactation.  May cause uterine contractions and abortion.  May inhibit platelet aggregation and increase the risk of bleeding; however, this has not been demonstrated in humans.
